Serving on the AECs at IEEE S&P'26 and NSDI'26.
I was extremely happy to learn that two more important conferences in the areas of security and networks, the IEEE Symposium on Security and Privacy (S&P) and the USENIX Symposium on Networked Systems Design and Implementation (NSDI), have adopted artifact evaluation for accepted papers starting this year. This decision aligns with similar initiatives adopted by other prestigious computer science conferences in security-related areas in recent years (a good list can be found on this website).
I am also delighted to contribute to this effort by serving as an evaluator on both committees for these inaugural artifact evaluation processes. I look forward to seeing these artifact evaluation committees in action in the upcoming months.
